‘Marathon Man’ meets ‘Superman’ Robbie Fowler in Dubai

Liverpool football legend Robbie Fowler made a flying visit to the start line of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon today where he met self-proclaimed “Marathon Man” Trent Morrow.

Last year, Morrow completed a staggering 161 Marathons on five continents, 11 countries and 34 US states, while this year’s Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon will be his eighth event in 2014 alone.

“What he’s done is simply incredible,” said Fowler. “Footballers often struggle to play two games in a week so for Trent to be preparing to run his 8th marathon of the year already is very impressive.”

Fowler is in Dubai with title sponsors Standard Chartered and will take part in the event’s 3km Fun Run at 11am.
